On page optimization, in a sense, is machine language and search engines (as well as Twitter/Facebook) are already better understanding context and human annotations. How many big brands have overlooked on-page optimization? The answer? Too many to list here. Web 3.0 is fine if you are ready for it, but the fact is, to have success in the online space you need to address the fundamentals, don't jump ahead to the shiny new object. You've got to be able to back it up. Why is on-page optimization important? Because without it, from an organic search perspective you will struggle to gain visibility, traffic and ROI.
