Great point SEO Betty. Syndicated content can be difficult to address especially when you're not even aware that it is happening.

Good advice all the way around. In this do-it-yourself age, we've run across several site owners who don't even realize they have duplicate content issues, even though they know what duplicate content is, more or less. They're usually small concerns that bought content from web companies catering to their specific industry ... the content is good enough but is found on thousands of other sites that all bought the same package. We're working with one client in particular now, helping them to rewrite huge portions of their site. It's easy to get taken advantage of when you don't know the right questions to ask.
